
When Ajitpal Singh Kohli, like his father, visited on a scooter and started works worth Rs 2.50 crore
Patiala, November 19: Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli, continuing the tradition of his father late Surjit Singh Kohli's way of working, visited the city's markets and streets on a scooter and showed the real picture of the city to Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Rajat Oberoi, so that the problems of the people could be resolved on the spot.
Patiala, November 19: Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli, continuing the tradition of his father late Surjit Singh Kohli's way of working, visited the city's markets and streets on a scooter and showed the real picture of the city to Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Rajat Oberoi, so that the problems of the people could be resolved on the spot.
During this, the MLA also started various development works at a cost of two and a half crores for the convenience of Patiala residents and said that he is available to serve the residents of his constituency 24 hours a day. While meeting the residents of the constituency, MLA Kohli said that the work which was stopped for several decades in Patiala city is being restarted so that the city residents do not have to face any kind of problems.
He started the work of laying a pipeline for water drainage in Sirhindi Bazaar near Arya Samaj Chowk on Puri Road at a cost of Rs 94 lakh. Meanwhile, the construction work of Gher Sodhi and Bagichi Mangal Das streets was started at a cost of Rs 68 lakh.
While the construction of lanes and laying of UPVC pipes near Jatwala Chautara and Sirhindi Bazar has been started at a cost of Rs 44 lakh. Similarly, CC flooring at Gher Sodhian, road work from Sadar Bazar to Arna Barna Chowk and Samsher Singh Mohalla has been started at a cost of Rs 37 lakh.
MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli regretted that the previous government running from Patiala also ignored the citizens of Patiala and could not build roads within the city. But the present government has taken up the responsibility of solving the problems of the people and Rs 25 crore is being spent on parks, roads and other facilities.
A large number of local residents including Madan Arora, Kishan Chand Budhu, Harpal Singh Bittu, Gursharan Singh Sunny, Sushil Minda, Amritpal Singh Pali, Simarpreet Singh and Puneet Buddhiraja were present on the occasion.
