Garhshankar- Sukhwinder Kumar, Headmaster of Government Senior Secondary Smart School Birampur, told in a special meeting today that today in the school, Mr. Hardev Singh Kahma held a special meeting with the Panchayat of village Birampur, in which Sarpanch Surinder Duggal, Panch Sahaban Amrik Singh, Manjit Lal, Charanjit Singh, Rahul Kumar, Raj Rani, Usha Rani, Richa Sharma were present. Discussions were held with the Panchayat about the development of the school, increasing the number of students and the development work done in the school.
Mr. Hardev Singh Kahma ji gave a special lecture to the students of class VIII and X and motivated the students to score maximum marks in the annual examinations. New admissions of students are being led by him. He also informed that Government Senior Secondary Smart School Birampur has become Senior Secondary Smart School Birampur with the approval of Punjab Education Department from session 2025-26.
Admission of girls as well as boys has started in the school from class VI to X. He informed that admission in class 11th and 12th will start soon. He informed that the file regarding approval of posts for senior secondary classes has already been sent by the Punjab Government.
Students and parents are appealed to take maximum advantage of the various facilities being provided by the government in the school. All subject specialist teachers are present in the school. From this year, NSQF vocational courses Beauty and Wellness and Telecom are starting in the school. Teachers of both the courses are present in the school. Necessary equipment including labs related to both the courses have been installed in the school. The school has full staff to teach students from class VI to X.
Students will be taught by subject specialist teachers through projectors, digital boards, computers and EDUSAT. Facilities related to every subject like science lab, library, math lab, educational park, smart classroom, telecom lab, beauty and wellness lab, computer lab are available. From this year, special attention has been given to sports in the school. Every sports equipment has been purchased for the students. Chess, carrom board, table tennis, karate kit (set), badminton ground is ready in the school.
Grounds for football, kho-kho and volleyball are being prepared soon. Mid-day meal for the students, RO water cooler for cold and clean water, Wi-Fi, generator and school bags, stationery for needy students have been arranged. The government has arranged free uniforms for students up to class VIII and free books, stationery for all the students of the school.
The school will organize educational tours for the students from time to time. The school will honor the students and their parents who perform well from time to time.
