Mandi Gobindgarh, September 11 - Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh organized a recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib to welcome the new students at the university campus and to seek God's blessings for the new session. The event was dedicated to Gurta Gaddi Diwas. Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, President Dr. Sandeep Singh and Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadavarti were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh emphasized the power of daily Gurbani and Simran and praised the Sikh concept of 'Sarbat da Bhala'. She said that prayers done with true and noble intention never fail. During the lecture, University Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur shared with the students and faculty members the significance of the holy 'Bani' and verses on 'Shabad' by the Gurus and said that all the Gurus have given the message of peace, sacrifice and brotherhood. Bani gives us the strength and courage to choose the right path in life.
After the recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, Dr. Arshpreet Singh and his team and Mrs. Lovepreet Kaur enthralled the congregation with Rasbhinne Shabad Kirtan. Chancellor's Advisor Dr. Virinder Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajeev and Dr. Surjit Kaur Patheja, faculty and staff members were also present on the occasion.
