Garhshankar 22 August - In protest against the repeated postponement of the meeting of Punjab Employees and Pensioners Joint Front by the Punjab Government, teachers of various schools of Garhshankar demonstrated on the call of Government Teachers Union Block Garhshankar 2 and slogans were raised against the government and then copies of the invitation letter of the said meeting were burnt.
On this occasion, Block Pradhan Ashwani Rana of Government Teachers Union Unit Garhshankar 2 strongly condemned the Chief Minister who repeatedly runs away from meetings. At the same time, employees and pensioners also announced to hold a fierce struggle in the whole of Punjab in the coming time. He warned the government and said that the government will have to bear the brunt of this in the coming elections.
On this occasion, Block President of Old Pension Restoration Struggle Committee Mr. Satpal Minhas, District Committee Member Madam Anuradha, Madam Aarti Chandel, Center President Mr. Naresh Kumar, Raghbir Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Parjinder Singh, Ranbir Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Jasbir Singh, Nitin Suman and teachers of various schools registered protest against the government.
