Chandigarh:--Nature 9 Foundation, which is working towards making women self-reliant, took another commendable step on Wednesday. In a program organized at the Community Center of Sector 42 in the presence of Nature 9 Foundation President Neeraj Sood and Municipal Corporation Senior Deputy Mayor Jasvir Singh Bunty, sewing machines were presented to 15 needy women. During this, Chandigarh Police Cyber Cell Department Sub Inspector Jaskiran Kaur and Urvashi made women aware about protection from cyber fraud.
On this occasion, other officials of Nature 9 Foundation Prem Kaushik and Neha Goyal, including Rajkumar Sharma, Sandeep Gaur, Manish Kumar alias Manu and others from Sector 42 were also present.
Neeraj Sood said that a large number of applications were received for sewing machines. Therefore, the beneficiaries were selected through draw. The foundation first contacts such women whose financial condition is weak and who want to do some work while staying at home so that they can take care of their family.
He said that by giving sewing machines, these women are being given an opportunity to become self-reliant, so that they can earn from home.
On this occasion, Senior Deputy Mayor Jasvir Singh Bunty said that this work of Nature 9 Foundation is commendable and it will promote women empowerment in the society. He also said that other organizations should also make such efforts so that more and more women can become self-reliant and do not depend on anyone. 
He said that women were also made aware about protection from cyber fraud by the cyber cell. Because women are easily influenced by the words of others and also trust them quickly. Therefore, they are easily misled. They have been told ways to avoid this
