Nawanshahr - District Legal Services Authority organized a seminar by PLV Vasdev Pardesi and Des Raj Bali under the guidelines of Honorable District and Sessions Judge Priya Sood and Secretary of the Authority Judge Kamaldeep Singh Dhaliwal at Red Cross De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Nawanshahr. During the seminar, Des Raj Bali encouraged the patients admitted to the drug addiction center to remember the education received from the center and the counseling provided by the scholars to change their lives and get out of the mire of drugs by valuing life.
He encouraged young people who had given up drugs to come back to the stream of life and live according to their parents. He said that by the District Legal Services Authority, persons belonging to the SCST caste, children, elderly, women, disabled persons, homeless persons, inmates in jails, industrial workers, mentally ill, and those persons whose annual income is less than three lakh rupees, they can get free legal aid and get services of lawyer free of cost. He gave detailed information to the admitted patients about the various laws made in the country.
