Hoshiarpur- Additional Chief Election Officer of Punjab Harish Nayyar held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ashika Jain here today. Regarding the forms received during the ongoing correction of voter lists in the district, he said that timely disposal of the forms should be ensured.
Apart from this, the Electoral Registration Officers of all the assembly constituencies were asked to provide special training to the BLOs and supervisors under them and take various steps to make the voter list error-free. He also directed that meetings should be held with political parties from time to time and they should be motivated to appoint booth level agents.
After this, he inspected the EVMs present in the district administrative complex. He also inspected the warehouse. On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Magistrate-cum-Voter Registration Officer-43 Sanjeev Sharma, Election Tehsildar Sarabjit Singh, EVM/VVPAT Nodal Officer Balwinder Singh, Assistant EVM/VVPAT Nodal Officer Rupinderpal Singh, Election Kanungo Deepak Kumar, Election Kanungo Loveveer Singh, Election Kanungo Megha Mehta, Rajan Monga, Pradeep Singh were also present.
