
Chief Minister holds high-level meeting on Mission Olympics 2036
Chandigarh, August 18 - Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that to keep Haryana at the forefront of sports and achieve the goal of Mission Olympics 2036, the sports infrastructure in the state will be made of international standard. Under this, 5 Excellence Centers of the Sports Department will be established in the universities of the state.

Under this, 5 Excellence Centers of the Sports Department will be established in the universities of the state.
Each center will have facilities for three sports, in total, training and facilities for 15 sports will be provided. He directed the officials to complete this work soon by holding a meeting with the concerned universities.
The Chief Minister was chairing a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Sports Department and other related departments regarding Mission Olympics 2036 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat today. In the meeting, he stressed on preparing the players in the state at the international level, strengthening the sports infrastructure and preparing a concrete strategy to provide world-class facilities to the players.
He said that Haryana is a superpower state of sports and to further strengthen this position, maximum facilities will be provided to the players. The stadium will be modernized, availability of coaches will be ensured and the training, sports science and nutrition arrangements will be strengthened as per global standards. Modern facilities will be provided in the Excellence Center so that the players can perform brilliantly.
On this occasion, Sports Minister Mr. Gaurav Gautam, Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary of the Sports Department Mr. Navdeep Singh Virk, Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department Mr. Vineet Garg, Commissioner and Secretary of the Finance Department Mr. Muhammad Shayan, Director General of the Sports Department Mr. Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Yashpal and Vice Chancellor of the Sports University Rai Mr. Ashok Kumar along with many senior officials were present.
