
8 members of the gang who stole valuable equipment from mobile towers were arrested
Patiala, June 11 - Patiala Police arrested 8 members of an inter-state gang who stole sensitive and valuable equipment from mobile towers and recovered mobile tower equipment worth around 1.5 million rupees and traced more than 60 theft incidents has claimed Speaking to the media, Senior Captain of Police Varun Sharma said that sensitive technical equipment like RRUB-BTS (Electronic Devices) etc.

Speaking to the media, Senior Captain of Police Varun Sharma said that sensitive technical equipment like RRUB-BTS (Electronic Devices) etc. were being stolen from mobile towers in district Patiala. A team of Mohammad Sarfraz Alam SP City, Inspector Shaminder Singh in-charge CIA staff Patiala and other officials was formed to trace the persons involved in these incidents. Under which CIA Patiala traced 60 cases of theft of mobile tower equipment and arrested 8 accused on June 9. Among these accused-

Jitendra Kumar Rajpura,
Nawajish Khan resident of Laskar Gwalior (MP) Hall Abad Rajpura,
Jaswinder Singh alias resident of Dhakansoo Colony Rajpura,
Harbans Singh Village Mehta Police Station Sangat Mandi District Bathinda,
Bhinda Singh Sirsa (Haryana)
Mohit Kumar Nlas Road Rajpura
and Gaurav Sood alias Deepu Dhakansoo Road Rajpura. During the investigation, 56 RRUs, 2 BTS, 51 BTS cards and 2 vehicles have been recovered. Apart from this, other items used for theft have also been seized.
SSP Patiala further said that most of the gang members have previously been working in mobile tower maintenance companies. The mastermind of this gang is Subhash Kumar who has been working in mobile tower maintenance companies. Police remand of these accused has been obtained till June 13, during which they will be interrogated in depth.
