80th Independence Day celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab

Hoshiarpur:- Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great pride, zeal and patriotism. The celebration was marked by vibrant cultural performances on the campus and enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and staff.
The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. A. S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab. In his address, he extended his heartfelt greetings to the entire university community and stressed the importance of national unity and dedication towards the development of the country. The university security team presented a ceremonial salute, which was followed by a soulful rendition of the National Anthem by a student group.
The celebration included a variety of cultural performances including patriotic songs, poems, speeches and traditional dances like Bhangra and Giddha performed by students of the Riyat School and various colleges of the university. The vibrant and varied performances showcased India’s rich cultural heritage and instilled a deep sense of pride among the audience.
Prof. B.S. Satyal Pro Vice Chancellor also addressed the gathering and appealed to everyone to remember the great sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. He reminded the youth of their responsibility to uphold the values ??of freedom, democracy and national pride.
The event was jointly organised by the Riyat Institute of Pharmacy, Lamrin School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the NSS Unit under the Vaishnav Bharat Yuva Connect Programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The theme of the celebration was “Har Ghar Tiranga”.
The programme coordinator Dr. Amit Sharma thanked everyone for making the event a success.
Faculty, staff and students were felicitated with mementos and certificates in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the university.
The event concluded with an atmosphere of patriotic pride, which united the university community with the spirit of freedom and national service. On this occasion, Vimal Manhotra CEO, Dr. Jagpal Rana Registrar, Dr. N.S. Gill Acting Dean, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dr. H.P.S. Dhami Acting Dean, Professor Narinder Bhumbla PRO LTSU, Dr. Rajinder Kaur Principal, V.K. Saini, faculty, staff and students of the university were present.
