The Chairman said that due to the terrible floods and bad weather in the state, farmers have suffered huge losses. The yield of paddy crop is coming out low, due to which farmers have suffered losses on a large scale. For this, the central government should hold the hand of Punjab's farmers in this difficult time. He appealed to the central government to issue a special package for Punjab's farmers so that the losses of the farmers can be compensated. He said that during the Kharif procurement season 2025-26, lifting in the mandis is happening smoothly. The reason for this is the 10 percent increase made in the mandi labor rates for paddy, due to which mandi laborers and their families are very happy.
He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann stands with the farmers, arhtiyas, and laborers, and every grain of the farmers' crop will be procured. So that farmers coming to the mandis with their crop do not face any kind of problem, solid arrangements for cleanliness, electricity, drinking water, bathrooms, shade, and seating etc. have been made in the state's mandis, so that farmers can sell their crop without any delay.
