33 Home Department Services in Haryana Under Right to Service
Chandigarh, June 18:- Taking an important step towards providing more transparent, accountable and time-bound services to the citizens, the Haryana Government has notified 33 Home Department services under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014.
As per the notification issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, a time frame has been fixed for these services. With this, citizens will be able to get various approvals, verification and license related services on time.
As per the notification, if the arms license is submitted for renewal in the same district and the license has not expired, then it will be renewed within 15 days. At the same time, after a cycle of six years, where police verification is required, the process of police verification for renewal of arms license will be completed in 22 days.
Services related to addition or removal of weapons in arms license, extension of period of purchase of weapons and permission to organize protests/strikes, processions and programs/cultural performances will be provided within 7 days.
Services for registration of foreigners (arrival and departure) will be made available immediately. Similarly, copy of FIR or DDR will also be made available immediately or online.
Services for extension of residence permit of foreigners, permission to use loudspeakers, No Objection Certificate for fairs, exhibitions, sports events etc., verification of unknown person and issuance of NOC for old vehicles will be made available within a time frame of 5 days.
Services related to domestic helper verification, tenant verification, character certificate, police clearance certificate, employee verification and disposal of registered lost property will be provided within 21 days.
NOC for establishment of petrol pump, cinema hall etc. will be issued within 15 days. At the same time, the process of issuing cinema license will be completed in 30 days and its renewal process will be completed in 25 days.
Services like NOC for import and storage of petrol under Petroleum Rules, 2002, approval for storage and sale of fireworks under Explosives Rules, 2008, renewal of fireworks license and NOC for fireworks shop and godown will be made available within a stipulated period of 30 days.
The process of online grievance redressal and private security agency verification will be completed within 60 days.
Apart from this, the services of verification of registration of cyber cafe operators, verification of registration of hotel operators and customers and verification of applicants for Community Liaison Group will be provided within 30 days.
The notification also specifies the designated officer, the First Grievance Redressal Authority and the Second Grievance Redressal Authority for each service. If a citizen does not receive the service within the stipulated time frame, he will be able to appeal before the concerned Grievance Redressal Authority under the provisions of the Act.
