Amritsar:- Counter Intelligence, Amritsar has arrested two associates of foreign handlers associated with Babbar Khalsa International and recovered two hand grenades from them. This was revealed by DGP Gaurav Yadav on his social media account X. He said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the recovered grenades were part of a bigger conspiracy, the aim of which was to target government institutions/infrastructure to disrupt peace and law and order in Punjab.
A case has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell, Amritsar under relevant sections of the Explosive Substances Act and the BNS Act. Further investigation is underway by the police to identify their other links and other associates involved in the network.
He said that Punjab Police is firmly committed to dismantling terrorist networks across the state, eliminating organized crime and ensuring peace and public safety.
