Chandigarh:- Two suspects in the Chandigarh shooting incident were arrested today after an encounter with Punjab AGTF in Kaithal. The suspects have been identified as Piyush Pehalwan, a resident of Ferozepur, and Pritam Shah, a resident of Nawanshahr. The suspects were injured after firing at the police personnel, police said.
The weapons and a bike used in the incident have been recovered from them. Sources said, "Rajan alias Piyush Pehalwan had recently entered India illegally from Malaysia via Nepal.
Both have criminal cases registered against them earlier." The family members of the deceased Chamanpreet Singh (31) were demanding the arrest of the accused and had refused to cremate the body until the accused were arrested.
