254 deaths in a day from Israeli attacks in Lebanon
Lebanon:- The Israeli army attacked Lebanon using hundreds of missiles, resulting in the death of 254 people. According to the Lebanese Civil Defense Agency, at least 1,165 people were injured in these airstrikes. Following this incident, a period of national mourning was declared across the country.
The attacks were carried out in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, Mount Lebanon, Sidon and several villages in southern Lebanon. The attack took place on the same day that a two-week ceasefire was announced between the US, Israel and Iran. The Israeli army said that it was the largest attack against Lebanon so far, since a new military operation was launched on March 2. According to the army, more than 100 Hezbollah command centers and military bases were targeted in the operation. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has insisted that Lebanon is not part of the US-Iran ceasefire agreement. In contrast, Pakistan - acting as a mediator - maintains that Lebanon is indeed included in the ceasefire. On the other hand, US President Trump said that Lebanon is separate from the agreement and is not a party to it.
