1 Haryana RV Squadron NCC begins Combined Annual Training Camp CATC180

Hisar: The 1 Haryana R&V Squadron NCC today commenced its Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-180) under the command of Camp Commandant Colonel Vineet Butola. The camp brings together NCC cadets from various schools and colleges with the aim of fostering discipline, leadership, self-confidence, teamwork, and a spirit of service to the nation.
In his inaugural address, Colonel Vineet Butola warmly welcomed the cadets, Associate NCC Officers, permanent instructor staff, civilian staff, and special guests. He described the camp as an excellent platform for all-around personality development and urged the cadets to make the most of the opportunities provided during the training.
Emphasizing the NCC motto, "Unity and Discipline," Colonel Butola stated that discipline is the foundation of success, while unity provides the strength to overcome every challenge. He encouraged the cadets to uphold these values both during the camp and in their daily lives.
The camp has been meticulously planned to provide comprehensive training in drill, weapon handling, field craft, map reading, physical fitness, disaster management, personality development, community service, and leadership development. Additionally, renowned guest speakers will deliver lectures on contemporary and socially relevant topics, including stem cell donation, cyber crime awareness, nuclear energy, security and scientific development, organ donation, and fire safety. These sessions aim to increase the cadets' awareness and equip them with essential information and life skills.
Stressing the importance of discipline and safety, Colonel Butola instructed the cadets to maintain the highest standards of punctuality and personal conduct throughout the camp. He reiterated that there would be no compromise on safety during any training activity, especially while handling weapons, obstacle crossing, and physical exercises.
The Camp Commandant reminded the cadets that the purpose of the camp is not just to win competitions or earn certificates, but to develop character, endurance, leadership qualities, self-reliance, and a spirit of teamwork. He encouraged every cadet to participate enthusiastically in all activities, learn from instructors and peers, and strive for excellence. He noted that an excellent performance during the camp could pave the way for participation in prestigious high-level NCC camps and national-level activities.
Colonel Butola praised the hard work and dedication of the Associate NCC Officers, permanent instructor staff, and the camp administration, ensuring the event’s smooth and successful execution. He expressed confidence that their guidance and mentorship would play a vital role in molding the cadets into disciplined, confident, and responsible citizens.
The Camp Commandant expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the officials of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University for providing the necessary infrastructure and administrative support for organizing the 'Combined Annual Training Camp.'
The camp will conclude with training assessments, competitions, cultural programs, and a closing ceremony, where the top-performing cadets will be honored.
