163 Cylinders Seized During Raid Rathi

Ambala, April 6:- District Food and Supply Controller Nishant Rathi stated that the supply of gas cylinders in the district is completely normal and there is no shortage of any kind. Consumers have an adequate quantity of gas cylinders available to meet demand. Therefore, the public does not need to panic or pay attention to rumors.
DFSC Nishant Rathi said that departmental teams are constantly vigilant to monitor the black marketing of cylinders, and immediate action is taken wherever irregularities are found. He informed that the team conducted raids at dhabas/shops located in Ambala city, Ambala Cantonment, Materi Shekha, Saha, Mullana, Barara, Shahzadpur, and Narayangarh, and so far 163 cylinders have been seized. Such checking will continue in the future as well.
He further stated that a control room has also been established at the district level, and its telephone number is 0171-2982868. LPG consumers can register their complaints related to LPG on this number. He added that 24 gas agencies are operating in Ambala district, through which an average of 8500–9000 domestic gas cylinders are delivered daily to consumers. In urban areas, consumers can book gas after 25 days, while in rural areas, booking can be done after 45 days. Adequate stock of domestic gas cylinders is available in Ambala district.
