1340 students trained in health and first aid under Mission Swasth Kavach

Hoshiarpur, July 30:- Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, 'Mission Swasth Kavach' has been launched in the district with the aim of making students aware about health, first aid and immediate help in emergency situations. Under this mission, a special training program was organized at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Railway Mandi.
On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Gurkanwal Singh and Additional Assistant Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur specially attended.
During the program, 1,340 students and 20 teachers were trained in health and first aid. The teachers were trained by Dr. Harneet Khurana, while the students were provided practical (hands-on) training by going class-by-class, so that they can take the right decisions in health emergency situations and provide first aid.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the aim of 'Mission Swasth Kavach' is not only to provide health information to the students, but also to equip them with practical life skills that can prove helpful in saving their lives and the lives of others in any emergency situation.
She said that in the coming days, phased training programs will be conducted in other schools of the district under this campaign, so that maximum students and teachers can get the benefit of this important initiative.
She said that the district administration is taking this mission forward with full seriousness, considering it an important step in the direction of public health and student safety.
On this occasion, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg, School Principal Rajan Arora and the entire staff of the school were also present.
