12 Punjabis arrested for multimillion dollar transportation fraud in America

Vancouver- American police have arrested 12 members of a gang organized under the name Singh Organization in the western states of Washington and California on charges of multi-million dollar transportation fraud.
The St. Bernard County Sheriff's Department has identified the suspects as Paramvir Singh (29), Harpreet Singh (26), Arshpreet Singh (27), all of Rancho Cucamonga; Sandeep Singh (31), of St. Bernard; Mandeep Singh (42), Ranjodh Singh (38), both of Bakersfield; Gurnek Singh Chauhan (40), Vikramjit Singh (30), Narayan Singh (27), all of Fontana; Bikramjit Singh (27), of Sacramento; Himmat Singh Khalsa (28), of Renton, Washington; and their accomplice, Elgar Hernandez (27), of Fontana.
The joint investigation team of the police said that after receiving hundreds of complaints of valuables disappearing under the guise of transportation since 2021, the teams were formed by the county police of California and Washington.
After a long investigation, these teams found that some individuals had formed a gang under the name of Singh Organization, which would take contracts for transportation of valuables under the name of renowned transport companies, load the goods and sell them instead of delivering them to the destination.
The police said that the accused have been arrested by collecting evidence and conducting simultaneous raids and the frauds committed by them over the past four years are being investigated. Officials said that it is also being found out whether these people used to sell the stolen valuables themselves or sell them to a seller at a cheap rate.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Riverside Island Task Force, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Fontana Police, and the California Highway Patrol.
