Farmer awareness camp organized in village Harpalpur about stubble management

Patiala, November 11 - Under the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Stubble Management Project 2024-25 of Punjab Agricultural University, a village level farmer awareness camp was organized at Harpalpur village of Sanur block regarding proper management of paddy stubble and cultivation of rabi crops.

Patiala, November 11 - Under the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Stubble Management Project 2024-25 of Punjab Agricultural University, a village level farmer awareness camp was organized at Harpalpur village of Sanur block regarding proper management of paddy stubble and cultivation of rabi crops.
Assistant Professor (Crop Science) Dr. Gurpreet Singh Sidhu discussed with the farmers in detail the techniques used to improve soil health along with efficient management of paddy stubble. And also gave information about fertilizer management in wheat sown by stubble management in different ways and inoculation of organic fertilizers applied to wheat seed.
Professor (Horticulture) Dr Rachna Singla conducted the program and shared information about the use of straw in horticulture crops. During the camp, he told about the importance of fruits and vegetables in relation to food security and inspired the farmers to plant home gardens of vegetables and fruits.
He also encouraged the farmers to connect with Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Agriculture University, Ludhiana and to read agricultural literature as much as possible.
