Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by PS Arts and Cultural Society.

Chandigarh- Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and patriotic fervor by PS Arts and Cultural Society at Velvet Clarks Exotica Resort, Zirakpur. Chairman Food Commission Punjab Shri Bal Mukand Sharma Ji attended the function as the chief guest. He inaugurated the program by hoisting the national flag. On this occasion, Gary Malhotra (CEO – UBSS & Helping Hands) and Dr. Mohammad Aslam were present as special guests. Apart from them, Mrs. Dhanjia Chauhan (Member – Transgender Welfare Society Chandigarh) and her team also participated specially.

Parveen Sandhu, President of PS Arts and Cultural Society, explained the importance of this day, saying that 15 August 1947 is a day written in golden letters in the history of India.
When India gained freedom from British slavery and emerged as an independent nation. This day not only reminds us to value our independence, but also inspires us to do something for the country. During the event, the entire team of PS Arts and Cultural Society participated in the flag hoisting ceremony and the national anthem was sung. The Chairman of the Society and President's Award recipient S. Balkar Sidhu Ji shared his views on the historical importance of Independence Day and guided the program. Along with this, he welcomed all the personalities present on the occasion.
On this special occasion, the handwritten book "Ramaj Fakiri Di" by Vinder Majhi (Poet Bhatti) was launched. On this occasion, the society's general secretary Rajdeep Kaur, cashier Arshdeep Sandhu, advisor Dr. Meena Chadha, press secretary Shayar Bhatti (Vinder Majhi), assistant secretary Manjit Kaur Meet, Preeti Jain, Rinku Jain, Balbir Soni, Yajasvi, Shudha Gupta, Pardeep Muchhal, Manpreet Kaur, Ashok Sachdeva, Ashmeet Singh, Jaswinder Kaur, Harleen Kaur, Ashima Sachdeva, Jasmine Kaur, Palwinder Parry, Ravina Pandher, Sheela, Rajbala, Manpreet Kaur, Manat Gulati, Rajesh Kumar etc. members were also present.
