Hoshiarpur- The NSS Unit of Rayat College of Law successfully organized a poster making competition and an awareness rally on drug abuse on the theme “Healthy Youth, Drug Free Nation”. A total of twelve students participated enthusiastically in the poster making competition, showcasing their creativity and awareness on the issue of drug abuse.
The posters were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising Dr. Mahendra Singh (Vice Principal), Dr. Mumtaz Zabeen Khan (Assistant Professor) and the results were declared, in which Eknoorpreet Kaur secured the first position, Sakshi Dhawan and Yeshasvi jointly secured the second position, and Babaljit and Gurjot Kaur jointly secured the third position.
After the competition, all the NSS volunteers actively participated in a drug abuse awareness rally in the adopted village Railmajra to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction. The NSS unit of LTSU, led by Smt. Rattan Kaur, as well as NSS volunteers, participated in this rally. At the end of the rally, the NSS unit of LTSU organized a tribute function to observe the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh, in which all the NSS volunteers of Rayat College of Law also participated to pay tribute to the great freedom fighter. The entire event was meticulously organized under the leadership of the NSS unit’s Program Officer Dr. Sohnu, with the active support of his team members Mr. Ajitabh Mishra, Ms. Nitika Soni and Ms. Disha Khullar.
