Government's war against drugs is just a drama - Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
Maur Mandi- Punjab government may be saying that drugs will be eradicated from Punjab by May 31, but it has remained just a drama of the government, because drugs are still being sold in large quantities in Punjab. Drug smugglers are emboldened and they are also carrying out deadly attacks on those who try to stop them from selling drugs.

This view was expressed by the state president of Congress, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, while talking to journalists after meeting the family members of the Subedar who was beaten up in village Bhai Bakhtaur and members of the anti-drug committee, Lakhvir Singh, Jassi Singh etc.
He further said that drug addiction is still at its peak in Punjab and the police is proving unsuccessful in stopping drug addiction, because there are very few police personnel in the police stations. He further said that if the police had taken action against the drug smugglers earlier on the demand of the people, then today a soldier's feet would have been safe. Law and order has completely failed in the Punjab government, the police is watching as a mute spectator.
He questioned who will protect the people who raise their voice against drug abuse. On this occasion, former MLA Jeetminder Singh Sidhu, District President Rajan Garg, Jagdev Singh Kamalu, Sukhdeep Singh Ramnagar Block President, Shammi Jaildar and other leaders were present with him.
