Rajpura, February 12- After the US deported 104 Indians yesterday, the police has raided the IELTS and immigration centres which were sending them to the US via boat. A police party led by SHO Thana City Rajpura Inspector Balwinder Singh conducted a surprise raid at the major IELTS and immigration centres in the city and seized passports and files kept there.
Talking to journalists, SHO Thana City Inspector Balwinder Singh said that as per the instructions of senior officers, the IELTS and immigration centres in the city have been searched and about 60 passports have been seized from these offices and some files and diaries have also been taken for investigation.
He said that the police will investigate and contact the owners of the passports found here and question them as to why they deposited these passports at these IELTS centres. He said that the police will take action against anyone in the city who sends youths to America by boat or against those youths who go by boat or illegally.
