Chandigarh- The common people and opposition parties have expressed anger against three Punjab ministers who shared memories of their foreign trips instead of the pain and suffering of the flood victims in Punjab. They have accused the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab of serving its own interests instead of taking care of the people.
They targeted the government and alleged that this government has failed to fulfill the expectations of the people. In this regard, a video has gone viral in which three cabinet ministers are shown discussing their cruise trips while reviewing the flood situation in Tarn Taran.
In a clip shared on X by BJP leader Tarun Chugh and Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa, Cabinet Ministers Harbhajan Singh, Barinder Kumar Goyal and Laljit Singh Bhullar are seen sitting in a boat wearing life jackets and discussing cruise trips to Sweden and Goa.
In this video, Harbhajan Singh can be heard saying, ‘When I went on a cruise to Sweden, the ship had a hotel and everything.’ In response, Punjab Water Resources Minister Barinder Goyal says that it was similar in Goa too.
This clip is going viral on social media. It is worth mentioning that currently, Punjab Cabinet Ministers are visiting the flood-affected areas of Punjab to review the rescue and relief operations.
Targeting the AAP ministers, Mr. Chugh said, “Punjab is sinking, fields have been destroyed, houses have been damaged and families are on the streets, but in these circumstances, Punjab ministers are sitting in boats and sharing memories of cruises in Sweden and Goa instead of sharing the pain of the flood victims.
At present, people are asking whether Punjab has given you powers so that you can tell stories of luxury in times of crisis? Or so that you can reduce our troubles?
Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa also posted on X and accused the three ministers of focusing on their own luxury instead of the expectations of the people.
He said, “Flood-affected families in Punjab are demanding drinking water but AAP Punjab ministers Barinder Goyal, Laljit Bhullar and Harbhajan Singh are reliving the memories of luxury cruises in Sweden and Goa.
