Modi has come to China on September 1 to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). However, his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping tomorrow is of greater importance and the eyes of the world are fixed on this meeting. Earlier, the Prime Minister had visited Japan. Modi is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and several other leaders on this occasion.
On this occasion, the Indian Prime Minister and the Chinese President will discuss India-China economic relations. Earlier, before his visit to China, Prime Minister Modi had said that it is important for India and China to work together to bring stability to the global economic system.
According to the information, Mr. Modi is visiting China at a time when many countries of the world are struggling with the tax policies of US President Donald Trump. Trump has imposed a 50 percent tax on India and a 30 percent tax on China. It is also worth mentioning that leaders of more than twenty countries will participate in the summit to be held in China on September 1.
