
Haryana to be drug-free by organizing Seva Pakhwada and Namo Yuva Run - Minister of State Shri Gaurav.
Chandigarh, September 13 - Haryana's Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship and Sports Shri Gaurav Gautam said that Seva Pakhwada will be launched across the state on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. This Pakhwada will be completed on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The Minister was talking to the media in Chandigarh today.
Minister Shri Gaurav Gautam said that under Seva Pakhwada, there will be many programs related to social service and public awareness. These include campaigns like Namo Yuva Run, blood donation camp, health check-up camp and Ek Ruk Maa De Naam. Trees will be planted across the state during Seva Pakhwada and there will be significant participation of the people of the state in this.
The Minister said that on 21st, a Namo Yuva Run program against drugs will be organized in Kurukshetra and Gurugram. In Kurukshetra, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini and in Gurugram, former Chief Minister and Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal will participate in this youth run as chief guests.
Minister Shri Gaurav said that the state government has started a compensation portal for flood-affected farmers where compensation for crop damage will be available soon on registration. He said that 1500 sports nurseries have been opened so far to improve the talent of Haryana's players and 500 new nurseries will also be started soon.
He said that the aim of Sewa Pakhwada is not just to organize formal events but to connect the public with the great campaign of service, cleanliness, environmental protection and drug de-addiction. The Haryana government will make this campaign a success so that every citizen of the state understands the importance of social service and the youth move forward in an active direction.
