2050 villages in all 23 districts of Punjab have been affected by floods, where 3.87 lakh people have become homeless and more than 20 lakh people have been affected. So far, 48 people have lost their lives and three people are missing.
1.76 lakh hectares of crops have also been affected in the state due to floods. However, the Punjab government has evacuated 22,938 people from the flood-affected areas in the state. 5404 people have been accommodated in 219 relief camps.
