Chandigarh, September 9 - Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Mr. Anil Vij said that water disposal tanks will be built for permanent water drainage in Ambala Cantt Industrial Area and a large pipeline and hyperbaric pumps will be installed so that the water can be discharged into the Tangri River. About Rs. 50 crore will be spent on this work and for this, instructions have been given to the officials of the Public Health Department and HSIIDC to prepare an extension project.

On Tuesday, Mr. Vij reviewed the water drainage arrangements in the industrial area of ??Ambala Cantt and asked the officials to drain water from here as soon as possible. He said that continuous inspections are being carried out for the last three days and it is hoped that the entire water will be drained by tomorrow evening.
Concerned about the safety of businessmen, Mr. Vij has released Rs 30 lakh from his voluntary fund for installing street lights on the boundary wall of the industrial area. He said that the Industrial Area Association should also install CCTV cameras on the boundary wall.
He clarified that the industrial area is the lifeline of our area and thousands of people get employment here, so both its security and convenience are necessary.
In view of the increasing incidents of theft, Mr. Vij directed the Ambala SP to deploy police staff permanently in the area. On the occasion, DSP Cantt and SHO of Thana Maheshnagar were also ordered to increase surveillance.
Many businessmen of the industrial area and officials of other departments including Public Health, HSIIDC, Municipal Council and Irrigation Department were present on the occasion.
