Una, August 4- With the aim of providing immediate assistance to the families affected by the recent heavy rains in Una district, the district administration is implementing relief and rehabilitation works on priority. In this series, immediate relief amount of Rs 2.20 lakh has been provided to 90 affected families of the Municipal Corporation area.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar said that this relief has been distributed to the affected families in the Municipal Corporation area as well as the surrounding rural areas.
He said that on the basis of preliminary damage assessment, relief cases worth a total amount of Rs 15 lakh have been prepared in the Municipal Corporation area. He reiterated that the district administration is fully committed to help every disaster affected family.
He said that relief and rehabilitation works are being continuously monitored and are being implemented with an effective, transparent and sensitive approach. The district administration is working on a war footing to provide quick and appropriate assistance to every affected family.
