Una, June 13- Hearing of claims and objections related to ward delimitation of Municipal Corporation Una will be held on Monday, June 16 at 11:30 am in the court of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jatin Lal. This information was given by Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar.
He informed that after the publication of the draft, a total of 11 claims and objections have been received in the Deputy Commissioner's office within the stipulated period. He clarified that hearing will be done only for those claims and objections which have already been received. New objections or claims will not be heard.
He requested that the persons or organizations who have submitted claims or objections should present their side by appearing in the court on the scheduled date and time. After disposal of the received objections, the final draft of delimitation will be published.
It is noteworthy that the draft proposal for ward delimitation under Municipal Corporation Una was published on June 2. After this, all the concerned stakeholders were given the opportunity to review the proposed boundaries and submit written suggestions, objections or improvement proposals within seven days.
According to the proposed delimitation, Municipal Corporation Una has been divided into a total of 17 wards. This division has been done keeping in view the regional balance, population distribution, administrative convenience and natural boundaries. According to the 2011 census, the total population of these 17 wards is 45,604.
