
Municipal Corporation focuses on cleanliness after heavy rains, desilting of drains started again.
Una, August 16. After heavy rains, the work of removing silt from drains has been started again in Una Municipal Corporation area. The corporation has launched a special cleaning campaign to remove the silt deposited again due to rain. The aim of the Municipal Corporation is that the citizens should not face any inconvenience after the rains and all the systems of the city can be restored smoothly soon.

The corporation has launched a special cleaning campaign to remove the silt deposited again due to rain. The aim of the Municipal Corporation is that the citizens should not face any inconvenience after the rains and all the systems of the city can be restored smoothly soon.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar said that desilting of drains had been done before the rains, but due to heavy rains, silt got filled in them again. Adequate machinery and manpower has been deployed to deal with this situation and cleaning work is being done on priority basis in the affected areas.
In this sequence, on Saturday, desilting of drains was done again with the help of three JCB machines and workers in Ward 1, Lower Aranyala and Tikka Road area. This work was done by the SDO of the Municipal Corporation.
It was completed under the supervision of Ankush Rana, Junior Engineer Shivani Thakur and Sanitary Supervisor Vijay Kumar. Joint Commissioner Manoj Kumar himself reached the spot and inspected the ongoing work.
