Karnal, June 25: Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan has urged the youth to pursue some form of training alongside their formal education. The government is providing collateral-free loans to facilitate self-employment. Parents, too, should focus on their children's education and motivate them to work hard to achieve their goals. We live in an era of competition; jobs are now awarded based on merit rather than recommendations.
Mr. Kalyan was addressing the public today after inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for development projects worth approximately ?54 lakh in Chundipur village. On this occasion, villagers welcomed him by presenting a shawl, a bouquet, and a memento. He laid the foundation stones for a kitchen and four lanes at the village community center, and inaugurated a lane and a newly laid drinking water pipeline.
He noted that other demands had also been raised by the village and assured that these would be considered. He stated that leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Manohar Lal, and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini are working earnestly for the progress of the nation and the state, as well as for the upliftment of society. The Assembly Speaker appealed to villagers to pay attention to their children's education. He reiterated that youth should undergo training alongside their studies, noting that the central government provides collateral-free loans to trained youth to help them establish self-employment ventures.
Mr. Kalyan highlighted that numerous development works have been carried out in the Yamuna belt over the past decade. During this period, the status of approximately 17 schools has been upgraded, with a significant number located in the Yamuna region. This will particularly benefit girls who previously dropped out of school due to the lack of nearby educational facilities. He added that a second ITI in the Yamuna belt would soon be ready; classes there have already commenced. Previously, this area had been completely neglected in terms of development. It is a result of systemic change that today, young people are securing jobs based on merit. Pensions are being deposited directly into the accounts of the elderly, and payments for crops are reaching farmers' accounts directly.
He stated that stadiums and sports grounds would be developed in villages where land is available. Participation in sports would help the youth stay away from addictions, such as substance abuse. He encouraged the youth to set goals and work hard, emphasizing that only those who put in the effort will move forward.
Sarpanch representative Ganga Ram, Mandal President Sachin Rana, former Councilor Chanchal Rana, Rajesh Lathar, and Jogendra Bhatti, among others, were present on the occasion.
