Jalandhar: - NRI Jitendra J Minhas, a resident of village Damunda in Jalandhar district, had a special conversation with senior journalist Daljit Ajnoha on various important issues during public service work, during which he told that he has been abroad for the last 40 years and due to the special blessings of his elders Sant Baba Batan Singh Ji Damunde Wale, even while living abroad, he comes to Punjab (India) every year with affection for his homeland and helps the needy people with his tithe.
He said that his main aim in life is to provide all possible facilities of education and health to the poor and needy people, for which he organizes medical camps, free eye check-up camps, operation camps and helps the needy people through the Lion Club in Adampur. He also provides special assistance to the bright and needy students in Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, especially in the form of fee concessions, books, scholarships.
NRI Jatinder J. Minhas said that he has also opened two private schools where children are provided with good education at very low fees. He said that his relatives have also adopted different schools where children are provided with all kinds of facilities. He said that if any needy person approaches him, he gives full support to that person after getting complete information.
He said that even in foreign lands, he always talks about his homeland by contacting the benefactors. He said that among the Sikhs who were martyred during the Battle of Saragarhi, two Sikhs from his village Damunda were martyred, about which he was informed by the founder of Saragarhi Foundation, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Josan and others, who have written 16 books on various subjects in America. He wrote his book on the martyrs of Saragarhi, in which he got information that two Sikhs from his village Damunda were martyred.
On which he built a memorial for the martyrs in his village and also got the sewage system of his village completed. He said that he always remains ready to serve the people with the blessings of his elders. For all these works, he has the full support and blessings of the local and foreign Sangats. Due to which he always remains at the forefront of public interest works.
