Garhshankar- Areas adjacent to Sri Anandpur Sahib should be included in the proposed district. Making this demand, Sarpanch Jhonowal Balwinder Singh Sodhi Boparai said that we should be happy when Beet area is included in Khalsai Dharti Sri Anandpur Sahib. If the Punjab government makes Sri Anandpur Sahib a district on the martyrdom day of Hind di Chadar Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, we will welcome it.
He said that Sri Anandpur Sahib is about 28 km away from Beet area while the distance to Hoshiarpur is 60 km. He said that along with including Beet area in the proposed district, Sri Khuralgarh Sahib of Sri Anandpur Sahib district should be made a sub-tehsil.
At least five bus routes should be set up from Adda Jhungian and Mahindwani in the Beet area to Pandori via Sri Anandpur Sahib and two routes to Mata Naina Devi so that the people do not face any problem. During this, former Panch Satnam Singh, Amarjit Singh and Harjap Singh were with them.
