Nawanshahr:- The area's social service organization Upkar Coordination Society has provided financial assistance to four families affected by the flood in the flood-affected areas of Amritsar and Gurdaspur districts.
For this work, JS Gidda, Surjit Kaur Dulku, Principal Parvinder Singh Jassomjara, Birbal Takhi, Des Raj Bali, Vasdev Pardesi, Manager Manmeet Singh, Harbans Kaur, Jyoti Bagga, Shaman Malhan, Satnam Singh Amargarh, Bholi Dhamai, Deepo Pandarawal and Gagandeep Kaur Pandarawal were present at the BDC.
On this occasion, the President of Upkar Society JS Gidda, Surjit Kaur Dulku, Parvinder Singh Jassomjara, Birbal Takhi and Des Raj Bali expressed their condolences on behalf of the Society for the damage caused to the houses of the representatives of the affected families due to the rain. They appreciated the social workers who have also given written confirmation to reach out to the affected families.
The family representatives were told that this help has been possible only with the support money given by the donors. This help from the Society is only like encouragement for the repair of the houses, the real help can be provided only by the government, for which one can apply through the appropriate system. The family representatives who received financial help thanked the Upkar Society for the help.
