Hoshiarpur:- A 26-year-old man died in a road accident on the Hoshiarpur–Tanda Road. According to information, the young man was travelling towards Maharaja Palace with his young children. On the way, he had to stop for some reason and parked his Activa scooter on one side of the road.
The man remained seated on the scooter when a truck coming from the opposite direction hit him with tremendous force. The impact was so severe that the Activa split into two pieces and the man died on the spot. It is reported that the deceased had a one-and-a-half-year-old child. After receiving news of the accident, family members reached the spot. The body has been kept at the Civil Hospital.
Demanding action against the driver responsible, villagers and the deceased’s family members blocked the road. They demanded that CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area be examined to identify the driver. The police are investigating the case.
