Lalru/Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 29:- Under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme being run by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the process of sending pilgrims from Derabassi constituency for darshan of various holy pilgrimage places continues.
Under this series, Derabassi constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa on Saturday flagged off the 121st bus from village Bairmajra, 122nd from village Togapur and 123rd from village Agapur for darshan of pilgrimage places.
On the occasion of the departure of the buses, great enthusiasm was seen among the pilgrims for the pilgrimage. The pilgrims welcomed this initiative started by the Punjab Government to provide convenience to the common people for visiting the holy pilgrimage places.
On this occasion, MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa wished all the devotees departing for the pilgrimage a pleasant and successful journey. He appealed to the devotees to reach the holy pilgrimage places and pray for the welfare of all, progress, prosperity and advancement of Punjab.
MLA Randhawa said that the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme is an important initiative related to the religious sentiments of people above 50 years of age, through which the opportunity of pilgrimage is being provided especially to those devotees who, for some reason or the other, cannot go to these holy places on their own.
