Hansi: Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal stated that the administration is closely monitoring the supply of LPG, petrol, and diesel in the district. Teams from relevant departments, including the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Departments, have been formed to address this issue. Currently, there is no shortage of petrol and diesel.
He has instructed officials to ensure that domestic LPG is not misused for other purposes and that gas agencies are not allowed to double-stock or overcharge. Consumers have also been advised to ignore rumors and use LPG judiciously, as per prescribed standards.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that all oil marketing companies have been instructed to provide daily information on LPG stock and supply status to the district administration. He stated that if any complaint of hoarding or black marketing is received, strict action will be taken under the Essential Commodities Act and the LPG Supply and Distribution Order 2000.
A nodal officer has been appointed by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs to address consumer complaints. A toll-free number, 1800-180-2087, has also been issued for complaints related to LPG and other petroleum products.
