Patiala (Kaka Ram Verma):- Inspector Sarabjit Kaur and ASI Ram Sharan of the Punjab Police Traffic Education Cell, Patiala, along with Shri Kaka Ram Verma, Chief Trainer of the First Aid, Safety and Health Awareness Mission, are working as a team to educate students at educational institutions. They provide information about traffic rules, laws, principles and responsibilities, first aid, CPR and fire safety, along with awareness about drug abuse, crime, cybercrime, kidnapping, the serious problems that can arise after running away from home, and punishments under the POCSO Act.
Students are told that boys and girls who run away from home because of disagreements with friends or anger towards their parents may be taken to other states or foreign countries, placed in hotels or sold to unscrupulous people. According to the awareness message, those who purchase them may force them into various illegal activities, including drug trafficking, prostitution, dancing in hotels and sexual exploitation by wealthy individuals at night. Such boys and girls may be kept like slaves, with their chances of returning to their families potentially cut off permanently.
Students are also warned that millions of boys and girls fall prey to human traffickers every year. Those who refuse to engage in such wrongful and illegal activities may be beaten and abused. The awareness session further highlighted the dangers of organ trafficking, including the alleged illegal removal and sale of kidneys, eyes, livers and hearts, as well as claims that human flesh may be mixed with animal meat and sold.
The teachers expressed their gratitude and said that the Punjab Police and Shri Kaka Ram Verma, even after his retirement from the Red Cross, were making commendable efforts to educate students about safety, dignity, well-being, progress, first aid, CPR and fire safety.
