Hoshiarpur:- The Sonalika Football Tournament organized in association with Sonalika International Tractor and Chardi Kala Youth Club in village Chhauni Kala concluded on January 26 with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. In the final match, Rihana Jattan’s team defeated Chhauni Kala’s team in a thrilling penalty shootout to win the trophy. MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa was the chief guest in the competition.
Addressing the players, the MLA said that sports play an important role in the overall development of the youth. He said that such events not only keep the youth away from drugs but also develop discipline, team spirit and leadership skills. MLA Jimpa congratulated the winning and runner-up teams and wished them a bright future.
MLA Jimpa thanked the organizers and assured all possible support for such sports events in the future. The tournament organizers said that this tournament was organized by Chardi Kala Youth Club under the leadership of Dr. AS Mittal and Dr. Deepak Mittal. During the competition, the players entertained the audience by performing excellent sportsmanship.
On this occasion, JS Chauhan, Vishal Gupta, Neha Dhiman, Gram Panchayat members including President Jagbir Singh, Pawan Sharma, Jaswinder Singh, Ravinderjit Singh, Avtar Singh and other dignitaries were also present.
