Special meeting held by Deputy Speaker Rouri to take government’s people-oriented policies and welfare schemes to every household

Garhshankar, 26 September:- An important meeting was held under the ‘Door-to-Door’ campaign to take the people-oriented policies, development works and public welfare schemes of the Aam Aadmi Party government to every household in the Garhshankar Assembly constituency. On the occasion, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and Garhshankar MLA Jai Krishan Singh Rouri held discussions with party leaders, office-bearers and workers.

During the meeting, Deputy Speaker Rouri said that the actual benefit of any government’s welfare schemes can reach the people only when they have complete information about these schemes. Therefore, under the ‘Maan De Munafe’ campaign, direct contact will be established with people by going door-to-door and they will be informed about various government schemes and the work being carried out in the public interest.

He said that the door-to-door campaign would not remain limited to providing information about government schemes, but the problems, needs and suggestions of the people would also be heard. He said that directly contacting people, understanding their difficulties and making efforts for their resolution through the concerned departments would be an important part of the campaign.

Deputy Speaker Rouri appealed to party workers to reach out to the people with full responsibility and honesty and ensure that no needy person is deprived of the benefits of any government welfare scheme. He said that continuous contact would be maintained with people in the villages and towns of the Garhshankar Assembly constituency.

Various issues related to the constituency were also discussed during the meeting. Leaders and workers shared their suggestions for taking the campaign effectively to every village and ward of the constituency.

Deputy Speaker Rouri said that serving the people, developing the constituency and ensuring that government facilities reach eligible beneficiaries are the main objectives. He said that with the cooperation of the people, the ‘Maan De Munafe’ door-to-door campaign would be further strengthened in the constituency. Panchs, sarpanches and party workers from all the villages were present on the occasion.
