Hansi (Dinkar Gavdi):- DDPO Sandeep Bhardwaj said that special Gram Sabhas will be organised in the Gram Panchayats of the district on October 2. Through these Gram Sabhas, villagers will be made aware of sanitation, de-addiction, necessary deliberations regarding the Parivar Pehchan Patra, activities of self-help groups, and various public welfare schemes and services. Suggestions will also be sought from villagers regarding village development and better implementation of government schemes.
He said that the main objective of the special Gram Sabhas is to strengthen the process of collective discussion, suggestions and solutions on village-related issues while ensuring maximum participation of villagers. In the Gram Sabhas, villagers will be made aware of sanitation and encouraged towards door-to-door garbage collection, proper disposal of waste and maintaining a clean environment.
Information to Be Provided on Problems Related to Family ID
The DDPO said that information will be provided to villagers in the Gram Sabhas for resolving problems related to corrections in the Family ID. Along with this, public grievances and schemes related to various departments will also be discussed so that eligible citizens can conveniently avail the benefits of government schemes.
He said that awareness activities will be organised at the village level to make the de-addiction campaign more effective. The adverse effects of drugs on youth and the role of villagers in making society drug-free will also be discussed. Besides, discussions will also be held on the role and activities of self-help groups and issues related to the economic and social empowerment of rural women.
Awareness to Also Be Created About ‘Reform Utsav’
DDPO Sandeep Bhardwaj said that villagers will also be informed about the ‘Reform Utsav’ beginning on October 2. Suggestions will be sought from villagers regarding various social welfare schemes and government services. Based on the suggestions received, wherever necessary, work will be undertaken to make the expected improvements in the implementation of schemes and service delivery system.
Participation of Various Institutions and Groups Also to Be Ensured
Activities related to sanitation, health, de-addiction, social awareness and public welfare in the villages will be made more effective.
He said that the Health Department will provide villagers with necessary information and suggestions on clean drinking water, personal hygiene and health-related issues. Villagers will also be made aware of adopting a healthy lifestyle and necessary precautions for preventing diseases.
Nodal Officers Appointed for Gram Panchayats
The DDPO said that nodal officers have already been appointed for each Gram Panchayat. Under the supervision of the nodal officers, the organisation of special Gram Sabhas and related awareness activities will be ensured. Necessary information and activities related to the programme will also be made available on the online portal so that effective monitoring, transparency and time-bound implementation of the activities can be ensured.
