Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), October 4, 2026:- A special documentary film prepared by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji was screened on an LCD screen through a special van in the villages of Ghatour and Chando Gobindgarh in the Kharar block of district SAS Nagar.
On the occasion, the approximately 30-minute special documentary film prepared by the Punjab Government was screened to connect village residents with the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji and his message of social equality, mutual brotherhood and service to humanity.
SDM Kharar Gurmeet Singh, PCS, said that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji continue to show society the path of equality, brotherhood, peace and service to humanity. He said that through various activities dedicated to the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, the Punjab Government is making people, especially the younger generation, aware of the life and philosophy of Guru Sahib.
He said that the objective of screening the documentary film in villages through the special van is to take the great life of Guru Sahib and his teachings to the maximum number of people. He said that such initiatives play an important role in connecting the new generation with our rich religious and cultural heritage.
On the occasion, residents of the villages appreciated the initiative being undertaken by the Punjab Government and said that the documentary being screened through the special van is providing them an opportunity to learn about the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji.
