Dera Bassi, (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar) 21 August,2026:- Special documentary film being shown dedicated to 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji by Punjab Government got overwhelming response in villages Baroli, Karkaur and Sheikhpur Kalan of district. Last evening this documentary film was shown to villagers through LED screen installed on documentary van at villages of district.
Giving this information MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that through documentary film sangat was made aware of life of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, great thoughts and his contribution in social reforms. Large number of villagers watched documentary film based on life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji with reverence, respect and enthusiasm. In documentary important aspects of life of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, great thoughts, social justice, service of humanity, truth, kirat and message of equality has been shown in very effective manner.
Welcoming this initiative of Punjab Government, Randhawa said that such efforts will play role in connecting young generation with life and thoughts of our great Gurus and Saints. He said that teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji even today guide entire humanity, with which goodwill and mutual brotherhood in society will become more strong.
