Dera Bassi, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 16, 2026:-The Punjab Government is screening a special 30-minute documentary film through LED screens from village to village to acquaint people with the life, ideology and great message given to society by Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, dedicated to his 650th Prakash Purab. As part of this initiative, the special documentary was also screened in the villages of Nagla, Seehpur and Handesra in the Dera Bassi block.
MLA Shri Kuljit Singh Randhawa, while sharing information, said that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, through his Bani and life, gave society the message of equality, brotherhood, hard work and service to humanity. He said that the objective of screening this documentary, dedicated to the 650th Prakash Purab, through LED screens in villages is to connect the younger generation as well as the general public with the great life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
He said that through the documentary, the life of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, his Bani and his message regarding social equality and human unity are being presented in an effective manner. A large number of people in the villages are watching the documentary and the initiative is receiving an enthusiastic response.
The MLA said that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj remain fully relevant to society even today. He said that we should contribute towards the betterment of society by following the path of humanity, equality and mutual brotherhood shown by Guru Sahib.
On the occasion, the residents of the villages appreciated the initiative being undertaken by the Punjab Government to dedicate the programme to the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. They said that the documentary being screened on LED screens is providing an opportunity to learn about the life and message of Guru Sahib in a simple and effective manner.
