Dera Bassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 14 September 2026:- As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Mrs. Komal Mittal, IAS, the disposal process of claims and objections under the third phase of Special Intensive Revision-2026 is underway in Dera Bassi Assembly constituency. This phase ran from 13 August 2026 to 12 September 2026, during which claims and objections were received and submitted by the general public.
SDM-cum-ERO Dera Bassi Shri Amit Gupta said that the disposal of the received claims and objections is to be done by 8 October 2026 as per the prescribed schedule. He said that to make the election process transparent and participatory, necessary information related to claims and objections is also being provided regularly to the recognized political parties.
He said that for the information of political parties for Assembly constituency Dera Bassi, lists of the last week related to Form No. 6, 7 and 8 have been provided in Form No. 9, 10, 11 and 11-A. Apart from this, necessary information regarding claims and objections is also being shared by the election officers by holding weekly meetings with all recognized political parties.
The SDM-cum-ERO said that during the process of SIR-2026, complete compliance with the rules and schedule prescribed by the Election Commission is being ensured, so that the process of inclusion of names of eligible voters in the voter list and fair disposal of objections as per rules can be streamlined.
