Banga:- Punjab State Senior Champion Ship Pods was organized at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana yesterday. In these games, Sikh National College Banga student Lovejot Kaur Kahma participated for the first time and completed the 100 meter race in 11.99 seconds from all over Punjab, securing the first place and qualified for the National. In this joy, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar People's Education and Welfare Aid Society Punjab (Regd.) honored Lovejot Kaur Kahma with Rs. 2100/-.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Society's advisor and former student of Sikh National College Kirpal Singh Jhalli, retired District Education and Information Officer Jalandhar and the entire Jhalli family presented the winning athlete with a PT. Heartiest congratulations were given at the Sikh National College Banga at the Mehnag Singh Pavilion Stadium and she was felicitated with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, Mr. Jhalli said that the credit for the winning player is due to the tireless efforts of the college principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder and coach Randhir Singh Bhullar.
Girls should be included in every field of sports and given a chance to rise. The player has brought glory to our district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and we are hopeful that this player will work hard and win gold medals in the national level games and bring glory to Punjab. Fruits were also distributed to all the players on this occasion.
