Hansi: The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sangathan Samiti, under the leadership of Samiti President Sardar Ilawadi, observed the Martyrdom Day of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park with reverence and honor. On this occasion, members of the committee paid floral tributes to the statue of Captain Vikram Batra and offered heartfelt homage, filling the atmosphere with patriotism with slogans of "Captain Vikram Batra Amar Rahe."
Committee President Sardar Ilawadi stated that on July 7, 1999, during the Kargil War, Captain Vikram Batra made the supreme sacrifice while defending the motherland. He sacrificed his life for the country's defense at the young age of 24 and set an example of indomitable courage, valor, and patriotism. His sacrifice will forever remain a source of inspiration for the countrymen.
Kishori Lal Nagpal mentioned that Captain Vikram Batra was posted as a Lieutenant in Jammu and Kashmir in 1998, where he played a crucial role in several successful counter-terrorism operations.
Subhash Mehta suggested that the biographies of brave sons like Captain Vikram Batra should be included in school curricula so that the new generation can draw inspiration from their sacrifice, courage, and nationalism.
