Hansi: SDM Rajesh Khoth visited the local grain market and closely inspected the arrangements made for crop procurement and farmer facilities. The Market Committee Secretary, along with officials and employees from other related departments, were also present. Upon reaching the grain market, the SDM also spoke with the farmers for a long time. The farmers stated that they currently have no problems.
The SDM instructed officials to ensure that every farmer visiting the market receives all necessary facilities, including drinking water, shade, availability of gunny bags, weighing arrangements, and a smooth payment process. He stated that the harvesting of Kharif crops has begun, and the arrival of paddy and millet is also steadily increasing. Therefore, all arrangements at the grain market must be maintained properly.
SDM Rajesh Khoth inspected the paddy moisture meter on site and inquired about its functioning from the concerned staff. He emphasized that the accuracy of moisture metering devices is crucial. He directed that all equipment be regularly inspected so that no farmer faces any discrepancies in weighing or quality assessment.
He also reviewed basic amenities such as cleanliness, lighting, and drinking water in the market premises. He stated that adequate lighting should be maintained in the market so that procurement operations continue smoothly even in the evening. He also stated that harvesting should be prioritized and carried out expeditiously to avoid chaos in the market and ensure farmers do not face any difficulties in unloading their produce.
The SDM directed the concerned officials to ensure that all employees working in the grain market are assigned duties and that no officer or employee is negligent in their responsibilities. He stated that the administration's goal is to ensure that farmers can sell their produce without any hassle and receive timely payment.
On this occasion, the Market Committee Secretary also provided information regarding the availability of gunny bags in the grain market, lifting operations, and arrangements at procurement centers. The SDM expressed satisfaction with the preparations of the officials and also said that continuous monitoring and inspection will continue in the market until the entire procurement season is over.
He said that the convenience of farmers is the top priority of the government and all the officials should ensure that every farmer coming to the market is served with respect and convenience.
